Hello Rett,

You have the combination sugar bowl and spoon holder. It's a very nice example.

It needs a good polishing as it's heavily tarnished. It would be wonderful if the silverplating is intact. Please handle the glass insert with care.

We would appreciate it if you would share a photo of it after it's polished.

I found this treasure in my Mom's attic & am trying to identify its use & origin. After searching the web, I found your site with the information about spoon holders. Do you think this might be considered one?

You can see a photo of it here: [snip for privacy]

I would appreciate any information you might have on its origin. I don't think it is silver but I'm afraid to polish it just yet. The bowl inside the holder is very thin glass with a pink color tint which looks like it was applied onto it.
Thanks in advance for any information.
Sincerely,
Rett
